While reading a book about creating a life of abundance I came across a chapter about giving back which made me think a lot. As I care deeply for the environment and when she talk about helping others giving away one part of your income to others, it made just perfect sense to me to help the planet & offset my carbon footprint funding projects worldwide.
In a way to inspire others, I decided to share with you here each project that I choose to fund. If I can motivate at least 1 person each month to do the same (I honestly hope it will motivate hundreds!!), then it will be worth my time writing this!
For information, for me, for each US$1 I am earning, I use 10% of it to fund such projects acting for a better world.
If you are wondering how to offset your carbon footprint, here is a way! For now, the projects a lot of the projects I am funding are from Gold Standard website.
And thanks to my amazing network, who gave me some great suggestions, I could diversify my donations to other foundations (check out Feb 2020 report below to see the other foundations I have donated to).
December 2019 – Project funded to give back and help save the planet!
WithOneSeed Timor-Leste Community Forestry Programme / Gold Standard Project
Why I chose it?
- plants trees
- supports 10 of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals
- give jobs to the local community
- encourage sustainable living – > planting trees and ideas

Planting Biodiverse Forests in Panama / Gold Standard Project
Why I chose it?
- plants trees
- provide natural habitat for local animals and plants (especially 15 threatened species!) -> biodiversity + ecosystem restoration
- give long-term jobs to the local community
- encourage sustainable living – > planting trees and ideas

Terraclear – Clean water access for families in Laos / Gold Standard Project
Why I chose it?
- provide clean walter thanks to filters to families in Laos
- prevent the deforestation as there is no need anymore to boil water to be safe to drink
- improves local health in Laos
- give long-term jobs to the local community

Why I chose it?
- provide clean walter thanks to filters to families in Cambodia
- prevent the deforestation as there is no need anymore to boil water to be safe to drink

- give long-term jobs to the local community, especially to women (60% of their staff
