My Story isn’t the usual one
In 2010, I left my country, France, to go to Germany for what I thought would be a 6 month internship abroad!
Since then, I have lived in Germany, in the UK, in the US, in HK , traveled around the world for one year, lived in China and I am now in Spain.
About 3 years ago, when I moved to Spain trying to find a place to buy a property for our family, I thought that there was only one way to pay for a mortgage.
I thought that for this you have to be at a high position in a big company and work hours and hours on a normal job.
The thing is: since I traveled around the world and left my corporate job in 2014, I knew I couldn’t go back to this “9-5 + having a boss lifestyle”. This is just not for me.
I have this entrepreneur lifestyle in my blood, I love running different businesses and starting different things.
That’s how after talking to a student . I had no idea of all the possibilities available to work from home.
I didn’t know that there were other ways to pay off a house and even buy properties cash without having debts our whole life.
There was only one thing I was sure of: waiting for the government to MAYBE pay me my retirement at 65 years old was not a risk I wanted to take.
I wanted to be in control of my life RIGHT NOW not wait for them to tell me when I could retire!
That’s how after talking to one of my French students about real estate investment for vacation rentals, I got the idea that having such a business hosting people from all over the world and getting paid thousands of dollars each month in the process was the SOLUTION.
I could invest in properties, meet people from all around the world and at the same time be paid.
I could invest in a property without taking a huge credit and working in a corporate job for my whole life? YES!
Did I feel pressure investing so much for a better future? YES!
However, I had experience hosting for years on Airbnb already since living in Germany and renting out my room to pay for my trips, so I knew that I had a solid basis to make this work.
I just had to invest the energy, money and time NOW to get to this financial freedom soon!
I wasn’t sure what was going to happen, but one day, I just took that step out of my comfort zone and invested in a flat!
Afterwards, I watched hours of videos about vacation rentals and how to make it work.
Since then, I have been hosting people from all over the world, meeting incredible people on the way and managing all this from home, at a coffee shop by the beach, on an island in Thailand or by the pool in Kuala Lumpur.
I am so happy I made that choice years ago, because it now gives me the chance to be at home with my daughter. I can still breastfeed her, give her healthy food to eat, take her to nice activities for kids, go outside for a walk with her.
I don’t need to pay an overpriced nursery for her, and work hours to pay it.
I can travel whenever I want and for how long I want. Our last trip was to Asia for 3 months with my baby!
Is it easy every day to do vacation rentals? Hell, no! Sometimes, you have bad guests. However, I wouldn’t give away this freedom from anything!
Moreover, after hosting so many people, I learnt tricks on how to host the right guests and not having that many bad guests anymore.
I went from having no stable source of income to having multiple source of income.
Don’t take me wrong, this didn’t come in one day and I had to invest my time and energy and work smart for this.
The great thing is : I did a lot of mistakes along the way that you won’t have to do, since I am here to help you stand out and start your vacation rental business the right way!
